Who I Work With
I work with adults individually on a wide range of issues including:
Anxiety and worry
Post-traumatic stress
Relationship struggles
Abuse and neglect recovery
Depression
Anger and stress management
Life transitions
Panic attacks and phobias
Grief and heartbreak
My clients are people with many strengths who recognize that something needs to change in their lives. Whether that means learning to manage emotions more effectively or moving forward on achieving goals, we figure it out together. Almost everyone who comes into my office can benefit from healing old emotional wounds, revamping their self-care, and rebalancing the way they live.
My passion is helping my clients move into an emotionally rich and fulfilling life. No therapy client should expect a “one-size-fits-all” approach. Above all, I tailor my style to match the individual needs of each person that I work with. I affirm diversity and recognize the harm that comes from discrimination. No matter what your race, ethnicity, religious/spiritual beliefs, age, sexual orientation or gender status, I welcome you to my practice and value your unique history.
A special note to those of you who were hurt as children:
I am frequently sought out by adults interested in resolving childhood trauma and the affects of growing up in families with challenging dynamics. My interest in child development and background working in intense clinical settings within the child abuse and neglect field have put me in a unique position to understand and guide adults interested in “getting past their past.” If you decide to do this work, we will find the gold to be mined from your toughest life experiences. It’s my hope that you develop a deep and true understanding that you are so much more than the worst things that have happened to you. Please know that it is never too late to reclaim your innocence and joy.
